No Excuses: A Morning Walk in the Rain

It’s a damp, chilly morning in 2025, but that didn’t stop him. After a short break from posting, he’s back out on his routine, walking with purpose — rain falling steadily, hat pulled low, white coat layered under his jacket. The temperature? Just above his personal cutoff. He’s got a rule: if it’s 35 degrees or warmer, he’s walking. Anything colder, he’s in the car. No shame in that — just honesty.

He’s been consistent, save for those brutal mornings when it dipped into the 20s. But now, even with the rain, he’s showing up. And with that, he has a message for everyone else still curled up in bed, watching from under the covers: “If I can do it at my age, there’s no excuse.”

All week, he’s been putting in the steps, and he’s urging others to do the same. No more waiting, no more procrastinating — it’s time to reclaim your health. This new year has already shown signs of the chaos and uncertainty swirling in the world, but he reminds us that in the midst of it all, we must stay prayerful, focused, and keep God first.

The mission is simple but vital: care for your temple, stay active, and stay grounded in faith. So, whether it’s rain, cold, or just plain laziness holding you back — let this be the push you need.

Get out there. Get busy. The time is now.
